Hi, I’m Abra!
Photographer & Art Educator

Let me start by introducing myself, or rather introducing my name. It is pronounced with a long “A,” sounds like Abraham (minus the ham!). I am a photographer, art educator and driven “mompreneur,” who believes in the power of photography to make people feel great about themselves, and their accomplishments.

Photography has played an integral part of my life and career for more than fifteen years. I am, like many living in this area, a Florida transplant. I landed here by way of Nashville and a few destinations in between after meeting my wonderful husband Logan in graduate school, where we both earned Master of Fine Art degrees in Photography. Our mutual love of the arts and higher education brought us back to Logan’s hometown of Jacksonville in 2012 for teaching positions at local universities. Over the last decade, we have both worked in the realms of fine art, portraiture and documentary photography. Teaching continues to be one of the greatest joys of my career as it has taught me the importance of being a life-long learner and continuing to challenge oneself creatively.

The most recent chapter of my career has taken shape in the last few years, where I have coupled my love for classic portrait photography with my desire to empower individuals and families through quality imagery. It is my goal to bring out the best in each client, and is a true pleasure to work with so many unique individuals and growing families.
